Cotesbach Quarter Horses

Stallions

We stand two stallions here at Cotesbach. Our senior stallion is golden palomino, Sedgehill Gold (Jed) and our junior stallion is imported grullo, Hollywoods Blue King, (Bill). Both stallions are high NFQHA Foundation with Jed at 92% and Bill having the distinction of being the only 100% Foundation stallion in the UK.

Jed now has over 100 foals to his name, many with dilute colours, inheriting his kind, easy going temperament. Bill’s are proving to be equally good natured, quick to learn and easy to train. Both stallions are Western trained, well behaved with their mares, they cover in hand and both have an extremely high fertility rate.
We try to give our stallions as natural a life as possible, within the obvious confines of being stallions. They live out in their paddocks in the daytime and are in their stables at night, close up to the house and always within sight of their mares, which keeps life interesting for them – and, importantly, for the mares.
